and the Folds of my Ear form a Swirl
Series of 6 performances/rituals
The lichen-coloured platform at the Wasserscheide is the venue for a recurring event that took place six times, from 25 - 30 June, each time at 8 p.m., at different locations around the lake; an event with a ritual character; a daily, intimate exchange of the performer with the surroundings; with different materials, other (water) bodies and forms of existence. Through speculation and imagination, questions are raised about how we might understand, relate to, feel (differently) our living environment; as an approach to current, local environmental conflicts on a sensitive, perceptive level.
The performer's voice reverberated as a virtual echo and could be listened to via a free phone number. To hear all six songs in succession, the listener had to call the number again six times. They repeat the daily ritual and keep the rite going.
