The Haus Zinsli, was built in 1961 by Paul Gredinger (advertiser and architect. Between 1953 and 1957 he was involved with the Studio for Electronic Music together with Karlheinz Stockhausen and Herbert Eimert) in Chur. Besides the fact that it was built by a remarkable personality, it was also classified as an important post-war modernist building. Nevertheless, in 2015 the future of the residential building is uncertain. A video that captures the original condition of the house serves as the source material for the project. Five authors and three musicians are commissioned to translate the visual material into "their language". The result is a publication with prose and lyrical texts (by the authors Stefanie Blaser, Werner Rohner, Fabian Saurer, Eva Seck and Levin Westermann), as well as three compositions (by Fatima Dunn, Anna Trauffer and Petra Ronner) and a slide projection.
Similar to how the iconic house is subject to a process of change, the old images of the video are also transformed into new works. The project thus questions tendencies of fixation and preservation and opens up a space of thought for alternative, possible forms of preservation of given cultural and knowledge assets.
